I have loved art all of my life and have been a teacher and artist for over 50 years.

My work is biographical in the sense of things that inspire me. I was an apprentice boat builder before art school and have sailed from and along the Norfolk coast line.

I was introduced to birds, wildlife and long shore fishing by my late father artist Victor Bellars.  My colour palette is influenced by Greece and the Norfolk coast. Whilst not a potter I like studio ceramics and have a small collection to inspire me.

I attended Norwich school of art from 1969 -73 and started to exhibit regularly from the 80's onwards at a variety of galleries. In the last 10 years mostly one man shows. Working in a variety of media my work is inventive, quirky  and reflects my interests.

I live in Kings Lynn in Norfolk and am married with 2 children and 4 grandchildren. I spend most of my spare time on the Norfolk coast where i collect and re-purpose materials for my art.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work on-line and I do have exhibitions if your interested. Please make contact if you would like to discuss any of my works or would like a special commission as a gift.
